At Helping Raise Humanity (HRH) we are working hard to develop an Early Childhood Education Center focused on offering schooling from infancy that will meet the childcare needs of families near Parnell, M.O.. Currently, there are five (5) spaces available for children age 12 months to 5 years to attend a summer camp experience. Final enrollment forms will be sent directly to the email provided once the student's placement can be confirmed. Space is limited. Because consistency promotes the strongest opportunity for growth and learning in a classroom environment, enrollment will prioritize families who wish to attend all eight (8) weeks of camp; inclusive of this, final enrollment forms will be sent to families at a first-come, first-served basis.
Please read all information before submitting an enrollment request:
Helping Raise Humanity has summer enrollment of up to six (6) children: one (1) teacher ratio, with the addition of an assistant. This classroom experience will be in the structure of a summer camp, consisting of eight (8) full weeks of educational-based childcare to promote preschool and kindergarten readiness.
Camp will be located in my classroom in Parnell, M.O., a renovated space within the prior elementary school building. Each week will have a main theme, supported by a primary book as a model in presenting that week's study. Weekly studies and themes will encompass every part of our day. Play and experiences at every opportunity will work to meet Missouri's Early Learning Standards for birth to age 5y. The schedule for weekly camps is as follows:

Families will receive 'My Day' notes with specific information about their child each day. They will also get a 10-Point Assessment Check sheet each week to recap the child's individual learning progress, skills and challenges. This includes personal growth goals with reflection on ways to promote your child's furthered success.

Snacks are provided as a learning experience, incorporated into the Living-the-Curriculum program. L.T.C. is an in-depth study of the manipulatives and skills of every day living with a discussion of the purpose, science, math and routines involved to engage students in learning through daily practices. This means, students will get to join me in the kitchen to explore their foods with all five senses and be hands-on in the preparation of their foods. This is like a cooking class with skill-based tools appropriate for each child. Being a part of the cooking/prep process can promote more interest in trying new foods, and is a wonderful opportunity for extra math and science experiences. Feel free to ask for examples snacks and lessons. All snacks include at least two food groups, served family-style to promote the exploration of all foods. Full day parents are asked to pack and send a lunch each day.
Sensory Hour is another option for parents who wish to indulge their children in an in-depth S.T.E.A.M. study at the end of each day. This extra messy hour of experiences will include additional materials as well as manipulatives to occasionally bring home. Students will get hands-on exploration opportunities that incorporate science, technology, engineering, art and math to foster questioning minds, logical reasoning and collaboration skills. Parents can sign their child up in advance for $5 per day.
